Baseball fans brace yourselves if you are crypto enthusiasts too! The Los Angeles Dodgers a professional baseball team that competes in the Major League Baseball in the United States has made both crypto and sports history. The team loved by many baseball enthusiasts has announced the first crypto related giveaway in professional sports.

Dodgers made the announcement on Twitter and called the crypto night ‘Digital Bobblehead Night’ which will be held on September 21st at their home grounds the Dodger Stadium.

According to the Tweet, the first 40,000 fans will receive crypto tokens of  Clayton Kershaw, Justin Turner, or Kenley Jansen which can then be downloaded and added to an Ethereum wallet.

The promotion is in connection with Major League Baseball’s (MLB) new and latest crypto collectables called MLB Crypto Baseball. The platform allows baseball fans to buy and sell collectable bobbleheads on the Ethereum platform. It is similar to the popular crypto game CryptoKitties, but instead, in this version, it is baseball player bobbleheads instead of pets.

There’s a lot more in store, with a dedicated Crypto Baseball application coming on Android and iOS.

ESPN reporter tweeted about the fact that the Dodgers crypto giveaway is the first in pro sports. It is a massive step for cryptocurrency’s primary objective of mainstream adaptation. MLB is seen to embrace crypto positively.

Baseball fans who have not paid so much heed on cryptocurrency will be exposed to Ethereum, as they will want to download an Ethereum wallet to claim their bobblehead which is a huge positive for the second most popular cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrency was seen to be a massive advantage for hotel bookings during this year’s FIFA world cup held in Russia. Along with cryptocurrencies are already being used to buy football clubs, when Club Rimini FC 1912 was purchased in Quantocoin (QTC).
