Etheruem’s intelligent founder, Vitalik Buterin has been approached by the technology giant Google to help in a Blockchain project.

Vitalik Buterin is a 24-year-old Russian – Canadian programmer and writer who became famous for co-founding Ethereum and Bitcoin Magazine. He is one of the biggest names in the Blockchain and cryptocurrency industry today.

How do we know Buterin was asked to join Google? A simple tweet on his Twitter handle showed a screenshot of an email from Google’s recruiter Elizabeth Garcia who offered a job at Google. The tweet was along with a twitter poll which asked ‘should I drop Ethereum and work for Google?’

2000 people answered the question, with 59% responding that Buterin should not abandon Ethereum. However, this Twitter poll was quickly taken down by Buterin.

Thanks to his passionate followers we got hold of the screenshot from Ms. Garcia which read-

The Tweet with the screenshot drew a lot of comments from Reddit and Twitter.

A Redditor commented-

“heck no, Google should be asking to join Ethereum”

Right now, Buterin is heading many exciting updates for Ethereum. These include Casper, the proof-of-stake protocol, and sharding.

If he does consider leaving, Ether will be in a dilemma in the eyes of Ethereum investors and might fall in value.

Google has been eyeing Blockchain with a spokesperson even declaring to Business Insider in March about its future use in the company.

“Like many new technologies, we have individuals in various teams exploring the potential use of blockchain, but it’s too early for us to speculate about any possible uses or plans,” the Google spokesperson said.

Many technological giants such as Facebook too is showing a keen interest in Blockchain. Facebook’s Blockchain team is run by the company’s CTO Mike Schroepfer and David Marcus who ran the Facebook messenger team.

With Buterin out of the picture to help Google, looks like Google might try searching for Satoshi Nakamoto using their new artificial intelligent Google Maps.
