Price Analysis- 7th May to 14th May

A week that suggested an excellent bull run was coming for the cryptocurrencies, however, was stopped halfway due to the South Korean exchange UPbit’s alleged scandal and new liquidation of Mt. Gox.

Toshi Times analyses the top best-performing cryptocurrencies regarding market cap for this week- Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, and EOS.

BTC/USD (Bitcoin)

On May 14, 03:56 UTC BTC is recorded to be $8381.3 with a trend of a further fall in price.

Last week on May 7th, the price of BTC was in the range of $9500. It maintained around the level of $9300 and $9400 till 10th May late evening UTC. It suddenly took a fall in the next 24 hours, to a price of about $8400.

It showed signs of improvement till late night 13th May UTC by climbing back to $8700, which suddenly once again sparked unrest and fell to the $8400 level.

ETH/USD (Ethereum)

On May 14, 04:08 UTC ETH is recorded to be $699.41. It showed bullish signs however this changed rapidly from 10th late night UTC. It fell tremendously from the stable $720 to $760 price straight to $640 in the beginning hours of 12th May.

It eventually showed signs of relief regaining to pass above $700 and even touching $740 at times on the 13th of May. However, it suddenly started falling rapidly in the late night of 13th May.

XRP/USD (Ripple)

On May 14, 04:11 UTC XRP is recorded to be $0.70586.

According to the graph from 7th May to 10th May it showed stability. It was maintaining the level of $0.80. However, this soon turned downwards, with prices touching $0.642 in the early hours of 12th May.

After this, it started regaining back to levels touching $0.74 in the late hours of 13th May. However, there was a sudden drop which made XRP go back to the $0.70 mark.

BCH/USD (Bitcoin Cash)

On May 14, 04:17 UTC BCH is recorded to be $1383.2.

On the 7th of May it was soaring in price, even nearing the $1760 mark. However, it regained back to the $1520 mark and was continually staying between the levels of $1520 and $1680. It then fell suddenly to the $1280 levels in the mid of 12th May.

It finally started rising back to the levels of $1480 but again showed signs of falling in the very late hours of 13th May.


On May 14, 04:29 UTC EOS is recorded to be $13.6600.

On the 7th of May, it was in the price level of $17.5000 and stayed in the price range between $17.5000 and $18.500 till early hours of 11th May. It then had a drastic fall in a matter of few hours straight to price levels of $14.5. It then further fell to the $13.0000 price level in the beginning hours of 12th May.

It then showed signs of recovery until May 13th late hours where it was nearing $15.0000 when it suddenly came back nearing the $13.5000 price level.
